Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2025-09-23
Overview
This extension helps you discover podcasts related to the page you’re viewing. It analyzes page text locally to form a search query and sends that query to the selected provider(s) to return results.
Data We Process
- Page-derived keywords — The extension analyzes visible page text (title, headings, and optionally your selection) locally to create a search query.
- Search queries — The query is sent to the provider(s) you enable in Options: iTunes Search, Listen Notes, Spotify, and/or Podchaser, for the sole purpose of retrieving podcast results.
- Settings — Your preferences and any credentials you provide (API keys, client IDs/secrets, bearer tokens) are stored via
chrome.storage on your device and used only to perform searches you initiate.
What We Do Not Collect
- No account sign-in, no personal profile, no analytics/telemetry.
- No advertising or sale of data.
- No reading or storing of your full browsing history.
Data Sharing
Search queries are transmitted only to the provider(s) you choose:
- iTunes Search API (Apple) — no key required.
- Listen Notes API — requires your API key.
- Spotify Web API — requires Client ID/Secret (Client Credentials flow); used to search shows and episodes.
- Podchaser GraphQL API — requires a bearer token; used to search podcasts and episodes.
Retention
The extension does not retain search queries on developer servers. Settings remain in your local chrome.storage until you remove the extension or delete them in Options.
Security
Credentials you provide are stored in Chrome’s extension storage. Do not share your keys and consider rotating them if you suspect exposure.
Your Choices
- Disable or remove providers at any time in Options.
- Clear saved credentials in Options.
- Uninstall the extension to remove stored settings.
